Coronado Cays is just a short drive to the village. The Cays is a great residential community off of the Silver Strand. The Cays features a large park, fire station, a restaurant, a yacht club, and plenty of space to ride your bikes and is just minutes to Imperial Beach where you can find great little taco shops.
Silver Strand
The Silver Strand is a peninsula that starts where Orange Avenue ends, extending south along State Route 75 past the award-winning Loews Coronado Bay Resort, Crown Cove Aquatics Center, the Navy's Fiddlers Cove, and Coronado Cays residential development. The paved pedestrian and bike path, part of the Bayshore Bikeway, stretches to the gorgeous state beach park and a nature sanctuary. You are surrounded by the beach and bay on the Silver Strand, a perfect place to soak up the natural surroundings and habitat. The Silver Strand boasts the only areas for camping in Coronado, permitted with reservations at Silver Strand State Beach and Fiddler's Cove (for active duty and retired military). Coronado has a proud military history and it is possible to see many examples of Navy training activities along the Silver Strand.

The view is 5 star. At first glance the home is as pictured.
The furnishings are old but were quality.
The house lacks maintenance. Lots of clutter left by owners which added to dusting, cleaning etc.
Needs DEEP cleaning. Floors, cupboards, laundry closet all were very unkempt. Dryer vent is blowing into the house.
Old non-matching sheets on beds all add to the feeling that the home is unloved. Lots of towels but fraying.
The kitchen is well stocked so we were able to cook whatever we wanted. But cluttered, disorganized and dirty.
If the previous review had been posted before we came I would have asked for the house to be deep cleaned.
